After earning his MBA at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Zhang worked as an advisor at American Management Systems, an IT consulting firm based in the US. In 2003, he founded Dianping.com, one of China’s biggest online lifestyle services providers, and served as CEO and chairman until 2015. After Dianping.com merged with group-buying giant Meituan in 2015, Zhang became chairman of Meituan-Dianping.

Zhang Zetian is the wife of JD.com founder and CEO Richard Liu (Liu Qiangdong).

Avid traveler and entrepreneur Peng Tao holds a telecommunications degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a PhD from the University of Melbourne. He has visited over 40 countries and was a former consultant at McKinsey, as well as the founder of two failed startups.

Xu Tao is a PhD candidate in molecular biology at NUS. He invented the Strawberry Hydroponic System. From 2016 to 2017, he also co-founded XMJ Agritech Co. Ltd in China. From 2015 to 2016, he was the technical director of the Institute of New Rural Development at Shanxi Agricultural University in China. He currently serves as CTO at Singrow.

Co-founder of Nongfenqi. Zhang received his master’s degree in Electronic and Information Engineering from the Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. Zhang met Zhou Jian when they both worked at Oufei, and the two collaborated to start Zhou’s computer game company. Zhang himself has invested tens of millions of RMB in Nongfenqi.

Serial entrepreneur Zhang Yiyun is a graduate of South China Institute of Software Engineering, Guangzhou University. Zhang started his first business at aged 13, and made his first million in senior high with an online hacker training platform (100,000 paying members). Koudai Jianzhi is his 5th business venture.

Zhang Wei is a serial entrepreneur with a background in the tourism industry.

Zhang Haoqian completed a doctorate degree in systems and synthetic biology at Peking University in 2016. He has published more than 20 papers in international academic journals. In 2019, he was honored as one of China's 100 Most Creative People in Business. He is also a member of the Synthetic Biology Committee under China Society of Biotechnology.Peking University has participated in the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competitions, with Zhang as a team member or leader between 2008 and 2010. The team has won gold medals twice at the iGEM competitions supported by MIT. He was also coaching the university’s iGEM team from 2011 until 2017. Zhang also founded the committee of China iGEMer Community.In 2010, Zhang met fellow iGEMer and Bluepha co-founder Li Teng at the iGEM giant jamboree event. They co-founded SynBio startup Bluepha in 2016, a spin-off from Tsinghua University.

Co-founder of VUE Vlog, Yang Tao majored in Computer Science in Peking University. After a period of internship in Microsoft, he joined NetEase in 2009. However, in NetEase, the products that he was in charge of were marginalized. In 2011, he joined Wandoujia where he was first put in a cloud system project, then became the key developer of Wandoujia App Search and the Photo Sync Project. In 2014, he was promoted to be an engineer manager. He joined VUE as co-founder in 2016. 

Zhang Yongqi was the first in China to sell books and training programs for IELTS (International English Language Testing System), the world’s most popular English language test. He went on to set up Global Education & Technology Group, which ran 450 IELTS centers in 60 cities and listed on Nasdaq. Zhang sold the company in 2011 to the Pearson Group for US$294 million. The former Honeywell agent is now highly influential in education and training. He is a member of the Beijing Democratic League.

Former SAP director at IBM, specializing in ERP systems (logistics and cost management), Zhang Ying holds an MBA, focusing on supply chain management, from Texas A&M University.

A former senior executive of eFuture, Zhang Sen specializes in marketing and customer management. He was also once employed at home furnishing & DIY stores Orient Home and B&Q.

Aimed at users in smaller Chinese cities, this startup relieves parental concerns about child safety in kindergarten and helps classrooms go digital.
